My story
My love for storytelling really began in second grade, when I was invited to the Young Authors Conference to share a book I had written and illustrated alongside other budding writers in Washington State. Years later, that passion led me to WSU to pursue a degree in Public Relations and Communications, where I found joy contributing to the student newspaper, or drumming up research for the athletic center’s annual campaign.
Since then, I have spent the past 15+ years delivering communications programs that move the needle for start-up brands and growing companies. I love the challenge of building from ground zero, and have done so across SaaS companies, technology firms, transportation organizations, and one of the nation's top retailers.
I'm equal parts strategist and doer. I can map out the big-picture communications plan, then roll up my sleeves to write the press release, brief the executive, or manage the crisis response. I thrive in the details as much as the strategy—because both matter when you're working on tight deadlines and tighter budgets.
I also know that the best communications plan isn’t created in a vacuum. I've built my career on learning how to strategically bring people together for the best possible outcome—whether that's aligning conflicting stakeholder views, rallying cross-functional teams to land a product launch, or finding common ground during high-stakes moments. I love the puzzle of building consensus and bringing calm to chaos.
I'm also a realist about where our industry is headed. I embrace AI as a powerful tool in my arsenal, but I'll never compromise on what matters most for brands and executives: authentic storytelling that connects with real people.
When I'm not helping brands show up well in the market, you'll find me volunteering on trails in the Pacific Northwest or planning my next outdoor adventure with my family (Former Glacier and Mt. Rainier park employee—the mountains have my heart).
